    Why would you want to do this? I mean Linux is mostly invulnerable to viruses, etc. What you need to worry is about crackers. This means you need a good firewall, and if you are really nutsy get a system logger, etc.

    The only possible reason I can see is if you’re running some kind of gateway computer for a network or a mail server.

    I think that Anti-virus can be an insurance when I do something stupid.
    In fact, I have not been getting any spyware nor viruses since I began to use Ubuntu 6.06, 2 years.
